Aligned with KE’s undeterred aim to serve the metropolis, KE for its next control period, has planned its investment in transmission based on forecasted demand considering optimum utilization of resources and least cost for consumers, while ensuring stability / reliability of transmission network.
KE plans to add one 500kV, three 220kV and Nine 132kV grid stations along with replacement / addition of Auto Transformers and Power Transformers at existing grid stations. The rehabilitation of Transmission lines is also planned to ensure reliable power evacuation.
Further, to meet the increasing load profile and to help economic expansion in the rural parts of KE’s service territory, construction of new 132kV Transmission line and enhancement of grids in Vinder, Uthal and Bela which includes up-gradation of 66 kV to 132 kV level is planned for the next control period.
